Taos is celebrating the summer with "Return to Sacred Places". Our backyard faces the spiritual Taos Mountain so come and rejuvenate in our shaded courtyards.
We are a pleasant 15 minute walk to Taos' historic plaza, shops and galleries.We back up to Taos Pueblo land and have amazing views of their spiritual Mountain. Our new art gallery features works by Inger Jirby, Mark Asmus, and Elizabeth Jose. New gourmet restaurant "The Love Apple" is down the lane from our front gate.
Master Chef and Hacienda del Sol Owner, Gerd Hertel is back cooking breakfast full time. We are also resuming our fun Thursday evening cooking lessons followed by a four course dinner with complimentary wine at a cost of $45 per person. The perfect destination for a romantic getaway, HACIENDA DEL SOL offers Taos charm at its best: individually themed rooms furnished in décor unique to the Southwest region and a friendly staff whose mission is to make your stay both relaxing and memorable.
All rooms have private baths with hand-painted Mexican Talavera sinks and tiles. Some of the more exclusive rooms include a private Jacuzzi and/or steam-bath.
Your stay includes complimentary health club privileges with tennis and racquetball courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, yoga, and aerobic classes. We also offer internet services in our guest lounge. WI-FI is currently available in all rooms, the dining room and garden areas.
HACIENDA DEL SOL consists of four adobe buildings with the original structure dating back to 1804. Situated on 1.2 acres, the Hacienda backs onto 95 thousand acres of Taos Pueblo land. Taos Mountain, considered sacred by the Pueblo Indians, provides a commanding backdrop to the Hacienda's expansive gardens and secluded tranquility.
